This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on convena.com.au and the Convena application at app.convena.com.au. We aim to be transparent and minimise tracking on our public website.
Marketing site analytics
The Convena marketing website (convena.com.au) uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service. Plausible is cookieless — it does not set cookies on your device and does not collect personal data that identifies you. Plausible aggregates anonymous usage statistics (such as page views and referrers) so we can improve our site without building individual visitor profiles.
Why we do not show a cookie consent banner
Because Plausible does not use cookies and does not process personal data for cross-site tracking, our marketing site does not require a cookie consent banner under typical interpretations of Australian privacy guidance for low-risk, aggregated analytics. Showing a banner when no non-essential cookies are in use would add friction without meaningful privacy benefit — so we do not display one on convena.com.au.
If we introduce cookies or tracking that require consent in the future, we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent mechanisms before doing so.
Essential cookies in the Convena app
When you log in to the Convena application at app.convena.com.au, we use essential session cookies to keep you authenticated and to protect your account. These cookies are strictly necessary for the service to function; they are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
The app runs on a separate domain from the marketing site. Cookies set on app.convena.com.au are not shared with convena.com.au, and vice versa.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential session cookies on app.convena.com.au will prevent you from staying logged in. Blocking third-party cookies generally does not affect Plausible on our marketing site because Plausible does not rely on cookies.
For guidance, refer to your browser's help documentation (for example Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge). The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner publishes general resources on privacy and online tracking that may also be helpful.
