Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, accessing app.convena.com.au, or using Convena's services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Description of service
Convena is a subscription-based software-as-a-service platform for community and membership management. Features may include member records, communications, events, payments, reporting, and related tools. We may update, add, or remove features over time. Service descriptions on convena.com.au and in your account summarise what is available on your plan.
Your account responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and enabling two-factor authentication where offered.
- All activity that occurs under your organisation's account.
- Ensuring administrators and users comply with these terms and applicable laws.
- The accuracy of member data you enter and your lawful basis for collecting and processing it.
- Configuring communications (including email and SMS, where used) in compliance with anti-spam and privacy laws.
Notify us promptly at hello@convena.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Billing, cancellation, and refunds
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle, as selected at signup. Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and exclude taxes where applicable.
- 30-day money-back guarantee. New customers may request a full refund within 30 days of their first paid subscription if Convena is not a fit. Contact support to request a refund.
- Monthly plans. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period and the subscription will not renew.
- Annual plans. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual term unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Failed payments may result in restricted access until the account is brought current.
Acceptable use
You must not use Convena to:
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or phishing content.
- Engage in illegal activity or facilitate fraud.
- Attempt unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Upload malware, interfere with service operation, or abuse rate limits and APIs.
- Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate acceptable use or pose a security or legal risk, with notice where practicable.
Intellectual property
Convena owns the platform, software, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the service for your organisation's internal purposes during an active subscription.
You retain ownership of data you and your members submit ("Customer Data"). You grant Convena a licence to host, process, and display Customer Data solely to provide and improve the service. You may export Customer Data using in-product tools or by contacting support.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Convena is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our total liability arising from or related to the service is limited to the fees you paid to Convena in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (including under consumer protection legislation).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on the service for legal, financial, or compliance decisions. You remain responsible for your organisation's regulatory obligations.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia for disputes arising from these terms or your use of Convena.
